Austin - 5 months (Male)
Austin is a stray kitten we trapped and brought inside to get him neutered and to try to socialize. He is very shy but he knows we will not hurt him. He does not run away when we come near him but does not like us to pet him. He would be a great hunting cat for a farm. He would defiantly like to have the option to come inside and outside freely. He comes when we call them for food or treats. With a little more work he could be a great cat around the house and farm. Neutered and Rabies up to date.
-
Vanessa - 5 months (Female)
Oh Vanessa. She is spicy, shy and skittish little girl. She is Austin and Mini Mew’s sister so she is a stray kitten that was not socialized early so she is very hesitant of humans. She has been inside for a couple of months and we do not see much of her. She likes to sleep on our furniture during the day and is getting better not to run away when we come close. But you get too close, she will run away from you. She would be a great hunter around the farm but having the option to have a warm place to come and go from would be ideal for this girl. Spayed and Rabies up to date.
-
Mini Mew - 5 months (Male)
Mini Mew is Austin and Vanessa’s sibling brother. He was trapped at the same time as Austin so they have been together and would be great as a pair. Mini Mew is a friendlier than Austin and comes around us more. He doesn’t mind getting pets when it is churu time. He comes out a lot more then the other two and doesn’t mind us walking around him but pets are still not welcomed by him yet. I feel with some work, he would get there but probably will not be a lap cat. Although, he could surprise us all with that special someone. Just like his brother he would be a great indoor/outdoor cat on a farm. Neutered and Rabies up to date.

He runs and plays with all of the other cats and is very friendly little kitten. He comes when called for food or treats. He is a very curious guy and loves to explore. Neutered and Rabies are up to date.
The Catina
We’ve established Doll House Catina as a cat rescue at our new home in Western Pennsylvania. Due to overpopulation, there are a lot of feral and stray cats in the community. We’ve begun taking in some of the local strays, and their kittens, and have been caring for them since winter 2024. We’ve ensured that each cat is properly spayed / neutered. They will be re-homed or humanely released.
Given the large number of cats, we’ve been overwhelmed with the cost and logistics. Several local entities have begun collaborating with us, and local veterinary clinics, but there’s a lot of work to be done.
Visit Doll House Catina for an update on our current swarm of kitties, and information on how you can help!
Frequently Asked Questions
Will you travel to deliver a cat/kitten?
We will travel within 100 miles to deliver a cat/kitten to you even if you decide the cat is not for you.
Will all cats/kittens be spayed/neutered when adopted?
We try to get all cats/kittens spayed neutered before adoption but that does not always happen. We will give any adopter $100 toward spay/neuter. There is a clause in the contract that we need proof of spay/neuter which is required for adoption.
What do I need to do if I find a cat/kitten I would like to adopt on your website or Instagram?
Please fill out an adoption form. Once we receive the adoption form, we will check out references and get back to you within a few days to let you know that you are approved for adoption. We would love to set a meet and greet with you and the cat/kitten. If you are happy and we are happy, you will be able to take the cat/kitten home with you.
What happens if the cat/kitten we take home and things are not working out for us?
We will work with you to try to find a solution that works for everyone. If it is behavioral, we will give you some suggestions to work through it. If you move and can’t take the cat/kitten with you, please do not surrender cat/kitten to a shelter. Reach out to us and we will take the cat/kitten back.
Are all of the cat/kittens up to date on vaccines?
Yes, all of our cats are up to date on vaccines and rabies shots. You will be provided their current status and history.
Are all your cat/kittens socialized?
We try our hardest to get all cats/kittens that we trap socialized and ready for adoptions. Some of these are harder than others but all cats/kittens are accepting of human contact upon adoption. Information on the cats temperament will be provided on the bio page.
What is your TNR program?
We are working in our neighborhood colony first trapping stray cats and getting them spayed/neutered and then releasing them back into their environment. We are trying to stop them from producing more kittens that will become a nuisance to the environment and the neighborhood. Cats can produce multiple litters of kittens a few times a year and kittens can become pregnant as early as 2 months old. These poor animals have a very hard life living out in the wild. Please help us by spaying/neutering your pets or donating to the cause.
Where do your cats come from?
The current kittens are from the colony here at our new house. When we bought this house last year we inherited a huge colony of outdoor stray cats. Two of the our regular Mommas became pregnant over the winter. We trapped both Mommas and brought them in to give birth in a warm indoor home. Then we took in a Momma and four small kittens from a family who could not care for them and did not want to take them to a kill shelter. We had an other colony Momma show up at our house looking for food and brought her four kittens to our house so we trapped them and socialized all of these kittens to make them great indoor kittens and companions. We are working with a local organization who is helping us get all of these cats (Mommas and Dads and Kttens) spayed and neutered. The adult cats are being released back outside and most of them are hanging around our place and the neighbors. None of the kittens remember being outside so they are looking for new indoor forever homes. We do not steal cats. We do not accept donated cats/kittens. These are just the cat from our colony. This is our attempt to help curb the rather large cat population in this area.
How can I help?
We will accept any kind of donation and that will help us to continue with other colonies of cat/kittens in our area. Or you can order any kind of merchandise in our store, all proceeds go toward our TNR project.
